Fusing & Slumping
This is a fun, fast paced class that will not only cover the ABC's of fusing and slumping, but will expand your creativity working with a larger "canvas". You will become familiar with fusing terms, as well as techniques in designing.
The student will choose a mold, and then "build" their plate or bowl using fusible glass and frit, stringers, noodles, dichro and metal inclusions if desired. Let your imagination and creativity go wild!
A demo of strip and circle cutting will be shown using the Morton System. You will learn how to make those perfect sqaures and circles! Lots of tips and techniques freely given!
Projects can be picked up after the fusing and slumping process, which will be completed in a couple of days.
Cost: $125.00 and includes tools, glass and supplies. Previous glass cutting skills not required but desirable.
